A One Stop Shop
Though the store had been a mainstay on Main Street since the 1960s
owners Stefan and Deb Benson bought the place back in 2002 and turned
it into a regional center for, well for just about any hardware need.
But even at that, there is so much more.
This is one of the best little hardware stores you’ll ever set foot in.
The first thing you’ll notice is the bright and airiness of this 8000
square foot store. With a staff of 16 full and part-time friendly and
knowledgable employees and isle after isle filled with product it’s
easy to see this truly is a full service hardware store.
They work closely with both the professional contractors and
tradespeople as well as do-it-yourselfers. They are constantly
improving and reinvesting in the store.
“It’s all about service,” Stefan said. “If you have questions, we have
the answers as well as the inventory.”
When other stores were reducing inventories Webster Ace was adding it.
They have at least two trucks a week to deliver product and meet
customers needs. In fact, if you have a special need or something they
might not have immediately in stock they can get it for you in a few
days at the most.
One of the recent expansions was to add space to better display power
tools and equipment, including riding lawn mowers, log splitters, and
even chipper shredders. There is, of course, any kind of hardware you
could possibly need or want. There is of course plumbing, electrical
and automotive. Are you doing some painting or staining this summer?
How about a new grill for the coming holidays. There’s still plenty of
summer left, do you have a project yet to accomplish. This is a great
place to begin your project.
Just like the old fashion hardware store there are many shop services,
too. They do small engine repair and fix windows and screens and they
even offer sharpening services. There is a large rental center.
There is just too much to name it all here. And the quality products
and great friendly services is not just talk, it’s policy. In fact,
Stefan’s crew are award winning. Besides awards from the Ace Hardware
Corporation they have also earned the J.D. Powers and Associate award
for customer service.
